Many cars on the road appear to resemble each other, such as the 2020 Audi Q3 and the BMW X1. In some cases, you may identify one for the other, but each brand of car-like the snowflakes that fall in Parker, Castle Rock, and Denver, Colorado-is different.
To help you detect the differences, Audi Denver created a comparison to help you understand what each SUV has to offer. Start reading below for help deciding between the Audi Q3 and BMW X1.
Find Comfort in Your Driver's Seat
After a busy day at work or tough workout session, your car serves as your own haven. Your back may hurt, so a heated front seat with power lumbar support soothes the aches while you drive. In the Q3, you get that release in the standard heated 8-way power front seats with 4-way power lumbar adjustment for the driver. The X1 offers heated front seats and lumbar support, but only as an optional upgrade.
Not only do you want heat coming from your seat, but you also want to circulate the air in your vehicle. Everyone wants to be comfortable in the car, so the Audi Q3 provides standard 3-zone Deluxe Automatic Climate Control. Your passengers can adjust how much or how little air they feel. Although the BMW X1 offers standard automatic climate control, it only covers two zones.
Now That's Entertainment

What's the best way to pass the time while driving home from work or during drab rainy days? Tuning into music sounds like a great plan!
Music filtered through the Audi Q3 available Bang & Olufsen® 3D Premium Sound System with 15 speakers and 680 watts moves you to dance or maybe drive a little faster. In the BMW X1, you get less wattage-360 watts-and fewer speakers-12, to be exact-in the available Harman Kardon® surround sound system.
Don't feel like hearing music? If you need to add items to your Amazon shopping list, the available Amazon Alexa™ integration in the Q3 allows you to do so. Alexa even allows you to turn your lights on before you get home, so you don't have to enter a dark house. You can't do that in the X1.
The Q3's standard MMI® touch response system has an available handwriting recognition function. Do you need directions to the restaurant where you're meeting friends? Draw or write the name of the restaurant right on the 10.1-inch center display! It sounds like Pictionary, but it's no game. The device recognizes your handwriting and quickly brings up directions on the navigation system. The X1 simply can't match that.
Performance Differences
For Colorado's severe winters, using AWD gives you an edge when going over icy surfaces. AWD comes standard on the Audi Q3 with the quattro® all-wheel drive system, which provides extra power and traction where your wheels need it. Only one BMW X1 trim has standard AWD.
Varying road conditions may arise from the weather, construction, or uneven terrain. Adjust your driving to accommodate these conditions by selecting the ideal drive mode with Audi drive select. This performance system features five different driving modes-Auto, Comfort, Dynamic, Offroad, and Individual-to tailor your driving to what's on the road.
The BMW X1 uses a comparable system, the Driving Dynamics Control system, to conquer challenging ground, but it only offers three different settings to switch to: ECO PRO, COMFORT, and SPORT.
